This piece was randomly selected and named by the Consul General of the Republic of Germany in Miami, Gera Sneller, on September 27, 2018 during the EU Climate Diplomacy Day at the University of Miami, Coral Gables, FL:

 “Sylt”: The island’s iconic shape can be often spotted as stickers on cars in Germany. However, the shape of this popular vacation island is changing, due to extreme weather events. The islands surface shrinks every year and sea-level rise could further accelerate this process.
